- We recycle used textbooks and discarded library books. Booksavers of Virginia will come and remove all discarded textbooks and library books from your storage, free of charge. We do not pick and choose, but we will remove all the educational materials you need to discard. The proceeds from the books we resell go to charity. The paper from books that have no market value is recycled, and the spines and covers are utilized to produce heat in the steam plant of a local university.
