Description :: The Trotwood Branch Library opened for business in March, 1966. While this was the first branch in Trotwood, the Bookmobile had been providing service to the community for more than 25 years. In February 1991, construction was begun to expand the original building. The size more than doubled - from 4,200 to 10,000 square feet. The Trotwood-Madison School Board, which had originally donated the land for the branch, donated an additional 0.39 acres to allow for the expansion. Construction was finished in October 1991, when an open house was held to celebrate the completion of the remodeling and addition.
