This issue wasn't quite as good as the previous two, but it's still a welcome addition to the story. In this episode, we find out more about Chess "Teach" Llewellyn and his son. Hill dials down the creepy and gory and goes straight for the heart . That's one of the best parts about Hill as a storyteller. He can elicit a full range of emotions from a reader.

As previously stated this one isn't near as unsettling or bloody as the last two installments, and focuses much more on character. The Geek King is an interesting madman, and I'd like to learn more about him before all this is over. Hansom is a Hollywood schmuck, and his back story is right out of the male celebrity playbook: drugs, debauchery, and dead hookers. Rock on!

In summation: Four stars overall. A slower read than the last two, but still an enjoyable part of the story. Hill is a master at playing the hearts strings. I can't recall the last time a comic book made me cry... perhaps the death of Superman? Bane snapping Batman's back? Spiderman watching as Gwen falls to her death? Not sure, but it's been a long, LONG time.

One of my favorite parts of NOS4A2 was the ending, with Vic battling for her and her son's life in Christmasland. That was one epic conclusion, but, sadly, it's also the only time we get to spend in Christmasland. This comic book series fixes all that.

this episode takes place 100% in Christmasland. The residents (whom I will not mention by name because spoilers) are just as terrifying as they were in the book, and seemingly even more dangerous... if that's even possible.

We get even more back story on Chess, mostly how he wound up in jail, and one of the coolest magic tricks since TOMMYKNOCKERS. The amputation scene is disturbing, and I think I ripped off most of my fingernails during that segment.

In summation: This one is back up to the five star range. Issue #4 is intense, and some of the most gruesome stuff Hill has written. Probably my favorite episode now.

This series just keeps getting better. This issue is for gorehounds the world over. We finally get to see what a game of Scissors for the Drifter is like. Poor, poor Hansom... yet he kinda got what he deserved.

This one ends on a cliffhanger, moreso than any other installment thus far. I have no idea where this is going, and I love that about this comic.

In summation: Hill continues to impress, as does Charles P. Wilson with his fantastic artwork. This series is so much fun, I'll be quite sad once it's over. Highly recommended!… (plus d'informations)

Mo' frakkin' yeti and mammoths stampeding, yo!

I'm pleased with this final chapter (there is one more issue, but it's an epilogue), and I don't think it could've ended any better. Sykes (Geek King) went out pretty much as I thought he would, and Manx proved to be just as sly and sneaky as ever.

I dig all the little details throughout this series, like the heads of familiar characters hanging from the big tree in the center of town like ornaments. Having the blood coming out of the shot moon like red clouds was pretty rad too. Overall, this series is truly unique, one of the best features of the source material NOS4A2 is the ceaseless imagination of its creator. Though the subject matter is for an adult audience, you can't help but feel like a kid while reading Joe Hill's stuff. He's retained that childhood magic and sense of wonder, and I love that about his work.

In summation: A fitting closer to the main story that makes me wonder if there'll be another series after this one. Christmasland is one of those ideas that could go on forever, if done right... or perhaps some other inscape...
