Renate du Vinage

Renate du Vinage, a journalist and radio writer, has served as a librarian at the Institute of Journalism at the Freie Universität Berlin.
In 2000, she published a biography of Éléonore d'Esmier d'Olbreuse, the grandmother of King George II of Great Britain, entitled Ein vortreffliches Frauenzimmer. Das Schicksal der Eleonore d'Olbreuse, der letzten Herzogin von Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Celle. In 2004, she published a collection of short stories, Vom Bisley Boy und anderen Entdeckungen (From Bisley Boy and Other Ddiscoveries). The following year she published Bibliothekar der Könige Friedrich Wilhelm IV. und Wilhelm I: Die Lebensgeschichte von Charles Duvinage (Librarian of King Frederick William IV and William I: The life story of Charles Duvinage).
She also wrote an autobiography, Das Leben ist ein steter Wandel (Life is a Constant Change, 2009). Her biography of Leopoldine von Brandenburg-Schwedt appeared in 2012. She has lived with her husband and three sons in Paris, London, and Koblenz.
