The album is brilliant. Even the ballads feel bursting at the seams with energy.

The Tim's Twitter Listening Party was lovely. It included Darryl Hunt, who died just a couple years later. I'd have liked more about the production, e.g. working with producer Steve Lillywhite, and if ever a band merited inside anecdotes it's this one. But it was nice to see the gentlemen reminisce. The Celtic punk band's third album (Pogue Mahone, 1988).

C (Indifferent).

A little traditional Irish music goes a long way. I thoroughly enjoyed their previous album, but this one seems redundant, even at it's best. Meanwhile, it's filled with novelties, and even features a Christmas song.

The Irish folk punk band's second album.

3/4 (Good).

Yep, that's a punk band playing traditional Irish music. Hard to go wrong. It's not as polished, or as loud, as Flogging Molly - often more folk-with-attitude than rock renditions of folk songs.
