Ex-Library copy Synopsis: This is a collection of short stories that were previously published in magazines. There are two from Anita's early days. Several others are in the same setting as Nightseer. Review: It's interesting to see how characters are either developed or left behind, Some of these would be fun to see again. I really loved Laurell K. Hamilton's early Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series books but I did feel like she lost the thread a bit in the middle of the series. I am glad to say that it seems like she is focusing more on the story line and less on the sex of late which makes the books better in my opinion. I think Anita is a great character and Laurell K. Hamilton can write a great plot but her overly complicated sex scenes can somewhat take away from the book. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Appartient à la sérieAnita Blake, Vampire Hunter (0.5, Those Who Seek Forgiveness; 8.5, The Girl Who Was Infatuated with Death) Distinctions
Known for her darkly violent, stunningly erotic Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter novels, New York Times bestselling author Laurell K. Hamilton reveals new dimensions of her talent in these fantastical fairy tales, lush parables, and Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter stories. Share her vision as she welcomes you to the far corners of her "fertile imagination" (Diana Gabaldon)... From a woman who marries into a family of volatile wizards to a couple fleeing a gang of love-hungry cupids, from a girl who seeks sanctuary in the form of a graceful goose to the disgruntled superhero Captain Housework, you'll revel in the many twists and turns of fortune in these unique, sometimes surreal visions. Even hardened vampire hunter and zombie animator Anita Blake gets blindsided by the disturbing motives of her clients in the never-before-published "Those Who Seek Forgiveness" and in "The Girl Who Was Infatuated with Death." "Hamilton just keeps getting better and better." - St. Louis Post-Dispatch Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
