The more I read the more disagreeable it got. World War I (The Great War) has started and Mary Louise is all for the war effort and getting people to buy Liberty Bonds but it soon veers into over the top jingoism and constant suspicion of anyone German in anyway. Josie O'Gorman makes her usual appearance and manages to completely flub up the unravelling of a supposed German Spy Plot. It was all a very unpleasant experience and now I am thoroughly glad to be done with Mary Louise.
