Das hat sich quasi von selbst gelesen. Nachdem ich bei meinen letzten Büchern öfter das Gefühl hatte, nicht so recht vorn zu kommen, war dieses Buch superschnell ausgelesen.
Ein paar Mal war ich.mir über das Alter der Protagonisten nicht ganz sicher... Ob 16-jährige so handeln würden? Trotzdem fand ich es insgesamt glaubwürdig und sehr spannend! ( )

I saw this book, and it reminded me of 1984 by George Orwell which I've read before. I'll definitely be reading this soon.

Update: 7.5/10, when I first saw this book a while back I wanted to read it and not long after I finally read it and this is nothing like what I expected, I was thinking of a terrifying dystopia but it wasn't that at all rather the concept revolves around a game which seems innocent at first but grows more sinister, where do I even begin. It starts off with the main character Nick and he lives his normal life and he got this new game called Erebos so he loads it up on his PC which takes a while by the way, maybe PCs in this book are slower than their real life counterparts or has this book aged like milk, I don't know. Probably the latter. Anyways Nick finally installs Erebos and apparently it's the most realistic game he ever saw and as I said it's like a world within the world and Nick enjoys it so much. However I think I've seen games with graphics like that and consoles like the PS5 and high end PCs can handle it now. He soon sees that other players are enjoying it as well however Nick soon discovers that there are a few special things about it, one if you die in the game you can't play the game anymore much like a hardcore mode and second the game manipulated Nick to do some wrong act and he accepted that at first until his character died and he couldn't play it. Not long after other characters discover the same thing and Nick finds out the backstory of this which segued to a big battle ending this on a quite a note there. ( )

This book is AWESOME
It's such an intriguing story. It's creepy, realistic, interesting and so so so wonderful.
The game can really freak you out, but at the same time it's so appealing because "it knows things".
It kept me hooked right from the beginning to its very end.
The action builds up gradually, and the game starts spilling over and intertwining with real life in a very scary but also very intriguing manner. It exerts strong control over the gamers while leaving them with an illusion of free choice. And in the end, everything ties together so beautifully.

Mir hat Erebos sehr gefallen. Spannend geschrieben und cool das sie eine Fortsetzung dazu geschrieben hat.

Nick krijgt de geheime game 'Erebos' in handen. Als je de opdrachten van de game niet uitvoert, word je uit het spel gegooid. Met alle gevolgen van dien in de werkelijke wereld.
