Author: Betty Birney Summary of Book: This children’s book is about being jealous and how it is not nice to be jealous of a friend. In this book Tigger and his friends are bouncing up a hill and he can do it the best until Roo comes along and can do it in fewer jumps than Tigger. This makes Tigger mad and he decides to not play with Roo anymore until Christopher Robin comes and helps Tigger get over his jealousy. Personal Reaction: I thought that this was a cute book to help children with jealousy problems. It shows children how to act and how not to act towards other children. I thought the illustrations were beautifully done and the artwork brought the story to life. The illustrations did a great job of showing expressions on the character’s faces because it was very noticeable just by looking at the pictures when Tigger was mad, sad, or happy. Extensions Ideas: 1. Have the class write down what they think there friend’s best activities are and practices telling others that they are all good at different things. 2. Have children color a picture of Tigger and Roo bouncing. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Update: I'm 50 books into the Pooh Project and a visual guesstimate says I'm not even a quarter of the way through all the books on the bookshelf yet. Onward!
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
