A fast little cozy mystery. The characters are likeable, although I sometimes forget who the random townies are. The mystery is relatively predictable, there's not really any suspense in these books, just a murder and Hannah trying to figure it out. I don't really understand how an officer is actually asking her to investigate for him, that is not something a cop should ever be doing, and she does all of the work and he does nothing when she's just a baker. He's putting her in danger when he's just hanging back eating cookies. The only truly unbelievable thing is that everyone pretty much has photographic memories. People all know the most random, specific information, like the manufacturer, year something was made, and how much it's worth...or they remember something from third grade that's pertinent information now. All in all, if you enjoy cozy mysteries (or Hallmark mystery movies because this is one) then you will enjoy this series. There are recipes included, and Hannah and her friends are all likeable characters. These are quick reads and simple to follow the clues to the conclusion that Hannah comes to. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: Take one amateur sleuth. Mix in some eccentric Minnesota locals. Add a generous dollop of crackling suspense, and you've got the recipe for this delicious new mystery series featuring Hannah Swensen, the red-haired, cookie-baking heroine whose gingersnaps are almost as tart as her mouth and whose penchant for solving crime is definitely stirring things up. Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder Hannah already has her hands full trying to dodge her mother's attempts to marry her off while running The Cookie Jar, Lake Eden's most popular bakery. But once Ron LaSalle, the beloved delivery man from the Cozy Cow Dairy, is found murdered behind her bakery with Hannah's famous Chocolate Chip Crunchies scattered around him, her life just can't get any worse. Determined not to let her cookies get a bad reputation, she sets out to track down a killer. But if she doesn't watch her back, Hannah's sweet life may get burned to a crisp. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

The Story:
I am not mature enough for this title to not sound dirty. The fact that it’s a very sweet story that reunites a family is crazy. It was short and sweet with like 5 recipes. This is the first paperback I’ve picked up in forever and I have mixed feelings about that. ( )
