Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Received from the early reviewers. It was an interesting book, however light on content. It was a fairly straight forward book. Ex. Try sex in a different room... EX Try sex by role playing... Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Received from the early reviewers. It is a cute book, But honestly there wasn't anything new or surprising in it. Nothing that hadn't already been seen, done, heard of or contemplated. The stories that went along with some of the locations were funny. All in all in was a fast cute read. But it won't be something I go to for ideas in the future. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This is a very funny book -- as I've gotten older I definitely look into the consequences of my actions a bit further and find most of these suggestions laughable. Not that I don't think that they would add a bit of spice into a couple's. Bravo for the author for putting this all out there! Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. This is nominally a guidebook for those who are interested in reading about ways to have sex outside the bedroom. The book proposes several places and ways to go about doing just that: in the bedroom, but with role-playing to spice things up; in other rooms around the house; at the workplace; around town; at parties or public areas where there are other people; while on vacation; in rural or wilderness areas; and at the beach. A chapter is devoted to each location type, and within each chapter are a number of scenarios briefly analyzed and discussed. The book’s tone is usually serious, though there are a few wry references. I actually wish the author had gone into greater detail in discussing the pros and cons of various activities and locations. The discussion remains at a fairly obvious, superficial level. The author really hasn’t come up with any ideas here that the reader hasn’t already thought about, but the book might serve as a good discussion starting point for couples.Physically, the book is small in size – easily fitting in a small-ish purse or large pocket – and less than 120 pages, so it’s a quick read and could easily be transported to any of the locations described in the book. There are no illustrations or photos in the book. One other important note: this book was originally written in French, and while the translation into English is pretty seamless, there are a number of phrasings throughout the book that are odd enough that the reader never forgets the author was not a native English speaker. Also, the various references to erotic films and novels peppered throughout the book are generally French works, so I found them unfamiliar for the most part. You may be more familiar with them than I. Who should buy this book? It’s not really a work of erotica, I would describe it as a fairly basic “how-to” guidebook. I would recommend it to, obviously, people who are interested in spicing up their sex lives, and who think that having sex outside the bedroom is a good way to do that. Either you like the idea of having sex outside the bedroom or you don’t. I think that couples might have fun flipping through the pages together as they fantasize and decide what kind of sex they might like to have. It’s not a great book – the ideas it discusses are too basic and the discussion too shallow – but it’s not bad either, and I can see that some might find it titillating. Full disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book through the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program in exchange for a review. This has not influenced my review in any way. The copy I have is an early review version, but even so the layout is just plain bad. The typeset is harder to read than one would expect given its size. The chapters are not separated by white space consistently.
I cannot recommend this book.
