This is a cute little book with only ten pages. Five of the pages have text. And the opposite page of the text has a movable illustration, or a novelty. The illustrator does a wonderful job in bringing this short story to life with the vibrant pastel colors and the moving pictures. Each picture is a double page layout that is meant to be looked at as you read the text and move the picture.

The story is about Peter rabbit and his travels in the woods and all of the little animals that he comes into contact with. You meet a squirrel, a frog, and a porcupine along the way - and at the end, Peter is tired and goes to sleep at home with his family. This is a good story for a very young child. ( )
