This small volume combines the New Testament "of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ", with The Book of Psalms. All 150 Psalms are included in legible type.

Provides a HELP IN TIME OF NEED list of references, which I believe is unique to the Gideons, and their Project of providing Bibles in hotel rooms, prisons and other facilities. This expansive evangelical project is funded by believers who pay for the placement "in memory or honor of a friend or loved one" through the the Gideon Living Memorial Bible Plan.

Over 800 million Bibles have been distributed [as of 1983 publication]. "God has promised to bless His Word and to cause it to bear fruit that will honor Him". [Epigraph testimonial.] The stated purpose of the project is "the promotion of the Gospel of Christ to all people...that they might come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour". Interestingly, that theology is nowhere in the Gospels, but can be stretched out of a few of the Letters of Paul, a few of which may have been written by him. It is never clear what a Saviour is saving us from. Of course we all need help, but what "soul" has "sinned"?
