Age: Primary Genre: Informational, Fantasy Media: Pastels Review: This book is informational because it provides factual information about animals and the circus. It builds children's vocabulary by defining words pertaining to the circus. It is also fantasy because it has the little girl, Emeline, leave here class in the crowd and do all of the circus acts and be a part of the circus. Character: Emeline is a flat character because we do not know anything besides the fact that she is in a second grade class. She is also static because she does not change throughout the book. Use: Read to enjoy, learn about animals, learn about the circus aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Genre: This book was a informational book. This book, although disguised as a real story, just tells you facts about various things at the circus. There is not plot to it as the teacher just goes around explaining everything that the children see.
Setting Review: Although this is a odd setting for a informational book, it does work. There are many things that you see at the circus and thus there was much information to be provided. I thought the author did a good job at providing much information (especially for where the book was set).
Media: Pastel
Use: Use as a source for a students research project.
