A group of animals in Miss Mingo's class spend a week learning the rules of fire safety. They are preparing for a fire drill at the end of the week and Miss Mingo , a pink flamingo, wants the students to master the drill. During their week of practice, each animal reacts differently to the situations. The animals are nervous and anxious about perfecting their skills. They learn to stop, drop and roll. They learn the primary route to exit the building, and they learned to line up and walk calmly outside.
Includes comical creatures, colorful illustrations, and creative concepts. This is a great way to intruduce fire safety to young children. It shows how everyone reacts differently in those types of situations. It also includes short bits of information on each page about how animals react when they fear the are in danger.
