Arthur and his friends' favorite books have been banned, and they work together to get the books back on the shelves. In the story, Arthur and the Scare-Your-Pants-Off-Club, Arthur, Buster, Francine, the Brain, and Sue Ellen had to think of a way to get their favorite book back on the shelf. Francine suggested the idea of having people sign a petition who have the same views as them. They realized they needed both the kids and adults support to get the book. Buster and Arthur teamed up in his front lawn. Buster thought of a good way to get the kids attention. He had Arthur get his kiddie pool in the front lawn and have him put on diving googles and his swimsuit. There would be a rope going across for Arthur to walk across. He held a broom to help him with his balance. Buster was the announcer and was holding a microphone telling people to step right up to see the Amazing Arthur. Arthur managed to walk across the rope despite wobbling back and forth. The kids wanted Arthur to do it again, but Buster wanted to inform the kids about the group of parents pulling the book they all enjoyed off the shelf. He wanted the kids to sign the petition to help bring back the books they loved. The kids would all sign the petition and watched the Amazing Arthur walk across the rope again. Arthur and his friends find out their favorite books have been banned. They collect signatures to stop the banning, but in the end, it is the author of the books (who Arthur has told without knowing it) that comes through for them. She reads the books to the parents attempting to ban them and they change their minds. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
