Interesting book, you definitely do not need to be verbal to communicate. I’m always on the lookout for books that can be considered inclusive but are not designed as such. Non-speaking communication still communicates in this book. From looking at the cover I thought this book would not have any words in it, but instead only pictures. The book takes you on a journey of reading things through actions. The sketches and brief text show feelings without actually using words. It shows the many gestures that readers may also make in everyday life. The book teaches gestures to express happiness, love, and disgust and teaches readers how to convey feelings without actually talking. We understand what people are saying by paying attention to their body language. This book doesn't state any disabilities but the entire book shows how people talk without saying things. The children say normal things but the illustrations and text explain how to say these things without saying them with your voice. I think this book would be good to read to someone with disability. Someone who is blind has never seen peoples' body language and this book can teach them how to. People who are mute can also use this as a guide to understanding the body language of others as well as learning how to do it themselves. I think it's important for people to understand others body language and know how to use no words to express needs, dislikes, etc. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
