This second book in the 'Young Samurai' series embodies the principals of Sun Tzu's 'Art Of War'. Readers have much to glean by virtue of the novelization of said maxims. ( )

Close your eyes and imagine yourself shipwrecked in feudal japan. Trying to survive after the murder of your friends and father in completly new world. Trianning to become a samurai to stop ninja bent on killing and stealing your only means of getting home. This is Jack's world. Chris Bradford's Young Samurai Way of the Sword amazed me with it's interesting tale of a boy surviving in a new and dangerous world.
After surviving his first year shipwrecked in japan, hunted by ninja, and discriminated by the japanese, Jack begins his second year at his new samurai school. apart from the constant bullying and teasing by a fellow student Kazuki, the theart of the dragon eye ninja hunting him down for the last thing his father gave him which is his only ticket home. Jack hears of a powerful technique that his adopted father Masamoto developed called the" two swords" and sees it as a way to finally be on par with his worst enemy, but the only way to learn it is to get into and pass the Circle of Three, an ancient ritual that tests courage, skill and spirit to the limit. Jack will learn who his friends truly are and who are his enemys. Chris Bradford's Young Samurai Way of the Sword is a fasinating tale full of twists and surprises at every turn that readers never expected. It has holds many historical facts about Japan and also helps the reader learn simple japanese terms. Chris Bradford's Young Samurai Way of the Sword is a fantastic book to read.
