'Bundle of Trouble' is a book I got for free through e-mail promotions. There was a time that I was on a kick of cozy mysteries, and I picked the book because the immature detective looked interesting.
Because I was a little bit burnout from the last books I read on the kindle, I was in the mood for a cozy mystery, 'Bundle of Trouble' caught my eye.
Well the truth I anticipated somthing and got something else. As for the main character, I found Kate to be slightly irritating; her constant whining about going back to the office got to be grating. However, as the story progressed, I got to like her more. My favourite character, though, was the PI Galigani.
The mystery part itself had some interesting twists. She did stumble into a lot of clues to the point it seemed improbable, but maybe it was beginner’s luck. The actual mystery part of it was pretty good- it kept me guessing for a while. There sure seemed to be a lot of dead bodies turning up, too! It was kind of funny to picture this plucky little lady trying to track down a killer with her baby and all of her baby gear in tow!
For I don't thinks I will continue with the series, the future will tell. ( )

Definitely not my favourite cozy mystery series - there was a lot of internal dialogue that I did not enjoy. I did like her lists, I thought those were cute and funny - I thought some parts were funny and entertaining but a lot of it was just .. blah, like why is this necessary, why are we repeating this again, why is this happening - but the end was good and fun

I called a lot of the book but it was still fun toward the end to read and the very end - I also called but it was still absolutely joyful to read.

Reading the struggle of a new mother was fun too - it was an interesting take on a mystery trying to be a PI or solving a mystery while literally taking care of a brand spankin new baby and separation anxiety .. ( )

Read a little from the beginning and a little from the end and decided I didn't care enough about it to read the whole book. ( )

New mother Kate decides she doesn't want to return to her corporate job after having her baby. Family circumstances bring her into contact with a PI, and for some unfathomable (to me) reason, Kate decides that being a PI would give her more time with her daughter--never mind that you can't just set yourself up as a PI in an office--at least not in the state Kate lives in (Though I will give the author credit that she does at least address that fact briefly in this book). I'm still not convinced that starting her own business as a PI will let Kate spend more time with her daughter . . . but the book was an enjoyable read and I'd probably read more books in the series. This was recommended to me by one of knitters in the "Mystery Book Talk" group on Ravelry (a social networking site for knitters and crocheters), and I'm really glad that I followed-up on it.

It's a cute concept - first-time mom Kate Connolly goes into labour just as she and her husband Jim receive a call that a body found in the San Francisco bay may be that of Jim's brother George (it isn't, although George is missing).

Soon, the body count is adding up (as is the diaper count), and Kate finds herself trying to solve both the mystery of the breast pump, as well as that of who killed the person who was in the Bay. And things take a turn when Jim becomes a suspect, lands in jail, and Kate is suddenly coping on her own.

Each chapter contains a to-do list, which, when described by the Raveller, I feared might be trite, but is actually pretty humorous. I'm glad that this has become a series, because when I need some light fare to zip through, this will do quite nicely! ( )
