A lot of the problems in this anthology come from the length of the pieces—the stories are very short, and there's not a lot of space to give you an origin and a plot. Few (if any) of the stories were able to balance origin and plot in their alloted space; many pieces just felt like previews for some upcoming comic, others were unclear in who/what their heroes were, and too many of them just plain ended.
