It's Christmas in Aspen and P.I. Regan Reilly is vacationing with her parents. Soon, however, million-dollar paintings start disappearing, along with an old friend of Regan's who happens to be an ex-con. The snow is falling, the plot is thickening, and the danger is closing in on Regan.

This was a lively and fast-paced story as the chapters swtich to different characters to reveal bits of what’s going on and kept things interesting. This was a fun and entertaining story for holiday reading. ( )

Mary Higgins Clark's daughter is well on her way to following in her mother's footsteps.

Regan Reilly and her parents head to Aspen, CO for the Christmas holidays. They are to stay at a the home of a well known actress. Sadly, upon arrival the actress finds that her home has been broken into, paintings stolen, and their caretaker is missing. The caretaker was a former jewel theif, so he becomes a wanted man. However, the caretaker was actually keeping dnapped by the real thieves. Louis, a friend of Regan, is trying to launch a new upscale restaurant in Aspen, but the grand opening may be scuttled as Louis is the one who recommened the caretaker/jewel theif to the actress for a caretaker. Regan knows that something odd is going on and despite it being a vacation, she starts an investigation. Missing twins, stolen art, curmudgeonly old people, museums, dry cleaners, the ski slopes and long lost loves keep Regan on her toes.

This was an enjoyable read. I did feel that there were too many unnecessary secondary characters who muddied the waters. The action and dialogue were fast. ( )

A good easy read. We are taken into the world of Reagan Reilly and her family who hob-knob with the rich and famous, which is why these friends are targeted by art thieves. Once again, Reagan finds herself in peril but will she manage to save the day? ( )

I forgot all about this series. I haven't read one of the Regan Reilly mysteries in years. Iced was located in Aspen just around the Christmas Holiday.

Some paintings are stolen and one of the help is suspected of orchestrating the theft. He is missing and everyone assumes he left town.

Regan doesn't believe that the person who everyone suspects actually heisted the paintings because of certain things that she notices, such as; freezing food, not taking all his belongings, just little things like that.

I loved the ending and even laughed while reading the book. I am glad I read this book. ( )
