The story is very weird, but the book is compelling because it's a fascinating look inside Rosie's world...and her psyche. Unfortunately, this book is eight years old, and talks about events more than a decade old...so many things have happened to her since! ( ) Very unusual book for me, but I did enjoy it. I got a little confused with some of the magic aspects and the time travel, but I think that is because I don’t that much about magic. The story is Riley (our female lead), has been estranged from her grandfather and the magical gift that she has been given. Now her 25th birthday has come upon her she has started having dreams about a man she has fallen in live with. He tells her that she should go to her Grandfather for help. So off she goes to her Grandfather, who tells her that the man she is in Love with is a man he went to college with and who disappeared one day. So together they find a time travel spell and start the ball rolling on Riley’s future. A solid 9 out of 10 I skimmed this pointless book about how Ms O'Donnell was contacted by what she thought was a pregnant teenager, but who turned out to be a woman with disassociative disorder aka multiple personalities. Along the way her friends try to convince her that "Stacie", or whoever she is, is a scam artist, but Rosie believes in her. She also tells stories of things that happened to her like a mean thing she did to her brother once, that don't have much to do with this narrative or anything else. Why I had this book, I don't know, but it has a sale sticker on it. I probably picked it up because as usual I was sucked in by the jacket which promised astonishing revelations. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
