Meg Jorgenson is leaving Chicago for a fresh start in Miracle, Kentucky. She loves children and teaching, but has been burnt by a relationship that went nowhere. She finds herself in Miracle, living with her Grandma and starting fresh at a new school. Eight year old Cammy Bayer, a wheelchair bound girl for most of her life quickly wins Meg's heart. But Cammy's widowed dad, Vance, has a harder time with Meg's heart. Can they both keep open minds about each other and see God work a miracle in Miracle, Kentucky?

Meg leaves her two-timing boyfriend in Chicago and heads to her grandmother's home in Miracle, Kentucky. She begins a teaching job in Miracle and meets a wonderful eight year old named Cammy. Cammy's dad, Vance is attracted to Meg but he just can't let the memory of his dead wife go. Cammy dreams of walking again one day and wearing red high heeled shoes.

Can Meg deal with Cammy's handicap and become a part of Vance's life? Or will Vance return to his old girlfriend who wants to put Cammy in a group home?

There were no surprises in this book. It took about a chapter for me to start getting into the book but then I liked it. It's an easy summer read and perfect for the beach or a summer vacation. ( )

Ok. Started off slow, but got better toward the end. ( )
