All of these stories have great potential, but none of them really live up to it, and the Christmas theme is really only as a vague background most of the time. Not really what I was hoping for. ( )

So far I've only read the Breeds novella in this anthology, so this review is only for that.
This wasn't my favorite of the Breeds books. I get that it had to be short to be in a novella, but I felt it was a little too rushed. Thankfully, we already had a little back story from a previous book in the series, but I would have liked some more development into Hawke and Jessica's characters. That being said, I think the story was good within those limitations. I could have seen this easily filling a whole book instead. ( )

Read all by Anya's story. Okay, I tried to read hers but just wasn't getting in to it and I have a lot of other stuff to read to force myself to read a story. Lora's was a nice quick read and a Breed story. I seem to be reading a lot of Angela's stories as shorts in her Mage world. Really - a Latent has to have sex three or more times to come into their magick? A little lame. Allyson's story wasn't bad and the first one I think of hers I've gotten through. Quick read over a couple of days. Shorter if I didn't have knitting to do! ( )

Kat and Ridge are really good characters, so are Lance and Grace. I look forward to learning more about the Mageverse.

I was captured by the 1st chapter and totally addicted to the following 9. Though this is the first time I've encountered Hawke and Jess I must say I love them just as much as I love her other characters. Though their story was short I felt it was complete. ( )
