This manual is written by a recording clerk , and is intended as guidance for other recording clerks. The writer strongly recommends minutes be read back to the meeting in the same session in which they are written so they can be approved by the people actually in attendance at that time.

My Friends Meeting had just appointed me as Recording Clerk, when I found this booklet. The auther answered a lot of my "How?" question and gave useful examplies of how to style minutes.One of the most important suggestions he made is to take your time and don't hurry when drafting a minute.
