Janet Chapman is one of my favorite favorite authors. Her books are magical, mystical and whimsical. A wonderful choice for reading by the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate. :-) (

This is part of a series of books about a clan of highlanders who got caught up in a wizards magic while on a search for a raiding party. The misdirected magic hurls them forward in time to a small town in Maine. Each character has his own story of how they built a life and raised a family in the 20th century while never forgetting their heritage. A very enjoyable series. (

I have finally finished this book a few minutes ago. I have found this book to be funny. I don't read time travel book, which this book doesn't have time traveling. The hero and others are stated to have time traveled. I don't read paranormal books as well. This book has a little paranormal theme in it as well.I don't want to spoil anyone that wants to read this book, but I do want to say that this is not a steamy book, although the hero and heroine do make love alot. (

I highly recommend this book. It has the appeal of a Scottish highlander romance, with the modern conveniences of a contemporary. A win win combination with an exciting (albeit, predictably angsty) ending. A real keeper!
