Das Buch stellt dar, welche Hoffnungen Menschen mit diesem Rekordversuch verbinden, angefangen beim Autohausbesitzer, bis hin zu den zwei Gegenspielern Jess und Tom.
Es liest sich kurzweilig, die Teilnehmer werden mit Humor und Wärme dargestellt.
Ich mochte das Buch wesentlich lieber als "Englischer Harem" des selben Autors. Trotzdem fehlte mir ein Quäntchen, vielleicht Glaubwürdigkeit, vielleicht Tiefe, ich weiß nicht genau. Aber es ist ein schönes Buch, das ich auf jeden Fall empfehlen würde. ( )
