The world famous artwork of Beatrix Potter needs little introduction -- it is as beloved as the familiar children’s stories it illustrates. Lovely book and a quick read. I normally would not have selected this book but found it through a reading list for a trip I am taking with Road Scholar. The pictures are well done and accompanying text interesting. Beatrix Potter had a keen mind, strong will, and generous heart which she used to benefit the farming community in the Lake District. ( )

Gorgeous photographs of the interiors and estate of Hill Top. Very warm and soothing images. Good book to curl up with -- with a blanket & hot toddy on a cold stormy night. ( )
