But the Cubs aren't even up yet! Will they miss the bus? Told in humorous easy-to-read text, this simple story offers up a blow-by-blow description of just another morning in the Bear household--which readers will find not all that different from their own! This book, Catch the Bus, was all Joshua. He is my middle son. I think he liked this book because everything the Berestain bears did, they did in a hurry. I think he liked the fact that this book was written poetry style than anything. I remember he would say, "Mom, you gotta read it in a hurry because they are hurrying up in the book!" Well, who could argue with that theory! And he did. I think he just wanted to get to trying to draw these bears. He knew that he had to read first, though, to get to his real love...drawing. He goes to UNO now. And he is an art major. He can really draw. Odd thing is, he still hurries with what he calls menial things to be able to doing the things that require his undivided concentration and solitude. Catch the Bus is a great early reader designed to help children learn the concept of telling time. The illustrations include a large clock face and digital clock time which corresponds to the action in the illustration and the text. This way children can follow along either counting or reading as the Berenstain Bears get ready for school. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
