I read these two books having read the teen fiction Maximum Ride series. Although the stories don't connect (they could be alternate universes) it was fun to be reading about Max again. However, the crimes in this book were more gruesome, I guess to appeal to a more adult audience. ( ) Wanted to introduce these characters to my son and thought about all the car rides we go on together, so picked it up on audio version. I am NOT a good audio listener and he was really balking about it until after the first chapter. Once we listened to the first chapter, I realized I had mistakenly picked up the second in the series. Crap. But he was already hooked. Listened to it up to Chicago and back, so about 4 hours. I had also forgotten alot of the sexuality between some of the characters. Crap. Well, he is getting older. Plus there is always the skip option. One of the things I love about James Patterson's older books is the short chapters that keep you saying, "Just one more chapter..." and next thing you know the whole book is done. It did have some annoying repetitions in it that I hadn't noticed before, or just read over. Now he knows the story, do we go backwards to the first? Maybe I will get that for him in book form. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
