I especially appreciate how this book teaches the properties of addition in clear language that all students can understand. The illustrations are engaging, and the problems at the end are a nice reinforcement for children to tend to forget. This is a great teaching tool.

I really enjoyed using this book with my students. I was able to get a lot of great participation. I liked how the book was illustrated and used the objects in addition to the numerical signs to show the process of addition. This book also provided a glossary in the back to review a lot of the key words used for addition and I found it extremely helpful. ( )

This is a great book to explain addition. The author uses different interesting scenarios to add certain objects and things up. I also really loved how the author was explaining what a sum was. I have read many books about addition, but I haven't really seen an author try to explain a sum. She did it perfectly! Also, the illustrations went perfectly with the scenarios. It was all around a great book. I would highly suggest it for young readers and learners. ( )
