While the present work seems true to Howard Pyles' classic version, I found the story itself off-putting and less than entertaining. In the constant battles and physical contests, I found it hard to tell the "good" contestants from the "bad" ones, or to see any reason why we should root for one over the other. Meanwhile, those deemed "good" are sure that their "god" is on their side; presumably their supposedly evil opponents likewise invoke a deity. In such ways, the tale reflects warfare through the ages, though that message will prove too subtle for young readers. Beyond these concerns, the story is well illustrated and adequately presented, and may excite 8 year old boys into tackling Pyles' original someday, with its traditional gender roles, glorification of violent conflict, and nationalistic flavor. Arthur and the Knights Of The Round Table Book review, I pick this book because it feels like your actually in the story. This bo0ok took place back in mideviltimes between a war with England and France. The main characters is Arthur and a young French knight and they battle to the death . Art hur lost the battle but didn’t die when word got send to France ,the young battle Arthur again But this time Arthur had excabuiler the legendary sword formed by the heavens that no man made weapon can stop it .When Arthur strikes the young French boy Carlos with excabluiler Carlos dies 3 years later Arthur is sick Arthur fall to the ground and die. This remind me of another book called Arthur and the Knights Of The Round Table but Arthur didn’t die he ran away from his kingdom aucune critique | ajouter une critique
