FBI agent Matt DeMarco never thought his morning jog on the beach would draw him into a ring of cold-blooded killers. Or that one of the murder suspects would be the stunning half-conscious woman he found washed up on the beach...dressed in an evening gown and dripping blood. "Trust no one" was all she remembered. But as her memory of that night came back, so did an overwhelming fear and the feeling that she was in serious danger. With nowhere else to turn, she had to trust Matt with her life. And in an unguarded moment, he seemed willing to trust her with his darkest secret. But how long could they keep their mutual lust in check?… (plus d'informations)

FBI Agent Matt DeMarco finds a half-conscious woman (named Kresley) washed up on the beach who has amnesia and needs medical attention (she's bleeding and has a gunshot wound). In time she begins to slowly remember, in bits and pieces, what happened to her. Matt is currently searching for his missing partner (an FBI Agent named Janice) and he discovers Kresley is linked to this woman. While they try to search for answers attempts are made on Kresley's life.

Kresley was a good heroine. She really went through a lot in the past few weeks (a bloody boat massacre, getting shot) and she came out of it a fighter. Matt was a likable, strong hero. The other characters were interesting. This book is part of a series (The Rose Tattoo) but it can be read as a stand-alone book.

A fast and enjoyable read. ( )
