Honestly 4 starts is overrated for this installment in The Tea Shop Series containing as it does several irrelevant & unfinished sub plots and serendipitous coincidences that beggar belief BUT it's all such good fun with lovely characters right down to Earl Grey Theodosia's canine companion that I can forgive all its flaws. Good book dealing with the Charleston area involving Theodosia, of course. This time she finds the murder victim as she is competing in a horse jumping race. She is thrown from her horse and finds Abby Davis shot to death. Various things happen and several people are suspects. I did not suspect the murderer this time. 3.5 stars (rating shown may differ depending on whether site allows half star ratings). I've read a few books from this series prior to this one and enjoyed them. I thought it was strange that a tea shop mystery started out in a non-tea setting. I didn't remember Jory (who dated the main character in the past) or Parker (who's dating her now) from my past reading. I didn't guess who was behind the murder until it was revealed. I did suspect one other character of theft correctly (or apparently correctly) though. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

While riding her horse in a race through the South Carolina Lowcountry, Theodosia Browning finds her arch nemesis, Abby Davis, dead. What's more, the victim's brother is Theodosia's old flame. Who'd have guessed they'd be reunited through cold-blooded murder? Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Twisting her neck slightly, feeling a rise of panic. Theodosia caught sight of more blood. And finally saw the body. Laying right there in front of her. A woman in a pale peach suit, crumbled horribly and slumped against the split-rail fence.
