I feel as though there should be more words used for the "incredible" illustrated books that I find. This is a story of what can be found at a beautiful outdoor market. The images drew me in, and when finished, I realized I spent a lot of time looking at the highly talented images of Anita Lobel. She and her husband Arthur Lobel are an award-wining team. He writes, and she illustrates. I finished this book, in a mesmerized state, then went back and read in two more times, carefully examining each highly creative image. On market Street there's a lot of things you can buy. This book takes you through a plethora of items that someone can get from the stores on the street. The book goes in the order of the alphabet, and each item is assigned a letter of the alphabet. At the beginning and end of the book when the person is claiming that people can buy things on market street, the text is said in a rhyming pattern. The illustrations in the book are phenomenal! Each item on market street is drawn with exquisite details and lots of color. Good book for teaching kids the alphabet and the correlating letter sounds. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
