In ‘Bobby and Mandy’s Too Safe For Strangers’, Bobby seems to tell the story. He tells us exactly what a stranger is. They’re anyone we don’t know. A stranger could be a man, woman, a teenager, or even another child! Throughout the book there are many examples of a bad stranger and what a child can do to escape “stranger danger.” In the back of the book is a list of people who can help in case of an emergency, a safety test, a list of safe grownups to call, and a lot more useful information for both you and your child. This is another book that I highly recommend for your home library. Read this book with your child and stress the importance of “stranger danger.” This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for my honest opinion. One day, Mandee is walking home from swimming. She sees her brother, Bobby and tells him she’s being bullied at the swimming pool. He gives a great suggestion. What is it? Tell Mom and Dad! In the back of the book are several helpful things for children. Among them are a safety list and a list of safe grownups that you can talk too. I recommend this book for both parents and their kids and should be in every home library. Parents should discuss bullying with their children and the author offers several options of what to do about it. This book was sent to me by the author in exchange for my honest opinion. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Bullies, beware! This is a little book is going to have a big impact. In this moral-driven story, Mandee tells big brother Bobby how a bully took all her money. Bobby stresses that she needs adult help and explains what to do if it happens again. Don't argue--just walk or run away, tell a trusted adult, or call 911. If the adult doesn't believe you, tell another adult until you find someone who understands. A quiz at the back of the book helps the reader remember what to do, and there's a place to write the phone numbers of "safe grown-ups" to call. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
