Beth McAllister dreams of having a husband, but ";Mr. Right"; hasn't appeared. Good, old Scott Caldwell, the guy she's known since childhood, certainly doesn't count as a husband candidate. They're pals, that's all. When Michael Alexander appears at the door of Beth McAllister's bed and breakfast inn, he's looking for more than a room to rent. Something that he wants is hidden in the old inn. Drop-dead handsome, he'll sweep Beth off her feet, if that's what it takes to reach his goal. Charmed by Michael's attention, Beth tries to ignore that he lies, he's not a Christian, and she really knows nothing about him. And why can't Scott leave her alone? It's none of his business who she dates. Scott Caldwell's been praying that Beth would be his wife. Now he can only watch as Beth falls for Michael and wonder, Lord, didn't You promise? Debra White Smith is a full-time writer who has published numerous novels, is working on several nonfiction books, and speaks at conferences and retreats. She and her husband have two young children and live in East Texas. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Beth McAllister dreams of finding "Mr. Right", as she runs a Bed and Breakfast in Eureka Springs. Scott Caldwell, the guy she has known since childhood, has already decided he is that man, and sets out this summer to show Beth he is way more than just a friend, but is hopelessly in love with her. But Michael Alexander shows up at the Bed and Breakfast for the summer and attempts to sweep Beth off her feet (while he secretly hunts for a treasure he believes is in her house). Beth will be torn between the attention of this handsome new man in her life, and her worrying over why Scot is acting so strange. Will God answer both Beth and Scott's prayers? You bet, and it is a fun journey to watch it all unfold. It isn't all fun and romance though, because there are issues in their past that they both needed to deal with. I enjoyed these two people a lot and couldn't wait for them both to realize the deep and lasting love they both had for one another. I also liked the way the author showed how easy it is to forget what God says in his Word and heed it, when something inviting comes along. But thankfully Beth couldn't shake what the Word of God said and it saved her from making many mistakes. ( )
