J'ai d'abord vu le film, avec la fabuleuse musique de flute de pan.J'ai ensuite lu le livre. Il est apparemment basé sur un fait divers réel. Un collége de jeunes filles organise une journée pique-nique de fin d'année, sur Hanging Rock, un gigantesque rocher du bush australien, en territoire aborigène. A la fin de la journée, trois jeunes filles et une de leurs professeurs ont disparu, et on ne les retrouvera jamais. Accident, rapt,magie aborigène, on peut tout imaginer. Le livre relate ces quelques heures, à travers les relations de quelques jeunes filles.
