Aphra Connolly is back and being chased by some very dangerous people. What makes it even worse is that Aphra has to completely forget about her boyfriend, Seth, to keep him out of trouble too - but that's extremely hard for a girl when she's in Paris, the most romantic city in the world.

Aphra quickly comes to realize that she really cannot mess around when her mother's contact in Paris turns up floating in the Seine with a deadly message stuffed into his mouth. So she sets off to confront the situation head-on. Sneaking away from the protection of her mom, Aphra heads out to find the mastermind behind all of the danger.

What she doesn't know is that she's accidentally uncovered Seth's location and has put him in danger, as well. Can Aphra get herself (and Seth for that matter), out of this sticky situation - and get herself out of trouble once and for all?

These books are so much fun. First there is Aphra, who I think is hilarious. The adventures that she went on with her mom in this volume of the series were the best yet, and I could absolutely not put the book down. Also, Aphra's relationship with Seth was great, as always. Seth sounds so adorable, and to see the two of them in action together was fun and exhilarating.

The writing was also good and kept me in a great amount of suspense. Overall, I really enjoyed this third installment in the Aphra Connolly series (and how I hope Linda Gerber decides to continue with more!) and highly suggest that if you haven't had a chance to read any of them you pick them right up. And on that note, I don't think it is necessary to read the books in order, as you kind of get caught up with previous adventures within the first few pages.

So what are you waiting for? Grab one of these books today and get set to go on a great and suspenseful adventure! ( )

This third entry in the fast-paced, witty _Death by_ series finds sixteen-year-old spy Aphra and her mother enjoying life lived incognito in Lyon, France. The arch-criminal Mole’s minions have sniffed them out, however, and soon Aphra and her mother must flee. Forced to trust fellow CIA agents, who have betrayed them in the past, they go to ground in Paris. When one of those agents turns up dead and the Mole sends a threatening message, Aphra quickly decides that the only way to escape a life on the run is to set a Mole-trap, using herself as bait. Aphra’s reunion with her boyfriend and comrade-in-arms Seth Mulo and a cross-country trek in the company of handsome Agent Ryan Anderson add romantic tension. The plot’s twists and turns, combined with plucky Aphra’s resourcefulness, sensitivity, and mad combat skills, will enthrall new readers as well as satisfying fans of Death by Bikini and Death by Latte. (Will appeal to fans of Ally Carter's "I'd tell you I love you" series). Grades 7-10 ( )

Another exciting and stimulating installment of the Death by... series! These novels are jam packed and quick paced! I think that is why I find them so enjoyable.I think this was my favorite novel of the series! This installment has even more action than the others, if that’s even possible. Gerber was able to keep her signature style fresh and unpredictable as always! There are a few steamy scenes between Aphra and Seth... well one scene in particular really stands out. I can only image in would be awfully hard to make-out while handcuffed! This novel as well as the entire series is full of action, adventure, romance and suspense! Death by Denim wraps up the series exceptionally well, but still leaves a possibility for future novels. ( )
