Most excellent!...her style is unmatched...my second favorite of the three of her books I have read so far....Age of Innocence is No. 1 ( ) I finished reading this brief story last night (9-10-09). I realized that more than half of the volume's thickness was taken up with commentary, reviews, etc. The story itself is only about 75 pages long. It was a moving story, well written, thought provoking, with an ending full of irony. I suppose Ethan is to be pitied but I find myself thinking he deserved what he got -- too much of a coward to make a decision and stick with it, he reaped the consequences of trying to avoid having to decide. I'm not going to read all the scholarly work in the volume - just wanted to see what the story itself was all about. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
