This series is a Sci Fi satire, full of comical escapades of lesser characters around a rather more composed Jettero Heller who is trying to succeed in his Mission to save Earth which is referred to by Volartians as Blito P3.  [A] paralyzingly slow-moving adventure enlivened by interludes of kinky sex, sendups of effeminate homosexuals and a disregard of conventional grammar so global as to suggest a satire on the possibility of communication through language.  The Invader's Plan [Volume I, Mission Earth] reads like and intergalactic Raiders of the Lost Ark. Once you start you will be hard pressed to put the book down. This time around, I couldn't take the utter incompetence of the main character, who is a lackey for the villains. Written that way on purpose, but it was just embarrassing and I was very uncomfortable. Did not finish and will stick to Battlefield Earth & Final Blackout if I feel the need for some Hubbard. " (
