A very positive story that deals with realistic but tough issues in a very approachable way. ( ) I really loved this book. I loved revisiting this story and also seeing the awesome art style. It has been so long since I read this story but I loved it. I loved how this story had nice balance of focusing on stacey as a lead character but still had a main story focusing on the other girls. I really am loving this series and the new love this series is getting. This is a super fast read and I can't wait to tackle the other ones from the series. I really loved this book. Opinion In my opinion this books was slightly better than the other one for some reason.I felt as thought you could relate to this book more. This book had rivalries that you can very much relate to in middle school. It made me remember all the times got in fights with people .I mean isn't that what books are all about nostalgia or adventure(In my option it is ).I also felt connected to Stacy I moved from New York to Rhode Island and it was a big change for media even had a big falling out with my then best friend. The fact that the girls won against the older club was also very nice . Summary It starts with a flashback of the club member we(I) know least about Stacey.Life in New York was a lot different from life in StoneBrook. In someone good and in some ways bad.Things were about to get a lot worse in StoneBrook and a lot better in New York.Since stacey is sick he4r parents make her go to a lot of doctors all the way in New York making he miss lots of school.Mean while the whole club is fighting of a another Agency of babysitters that are older and a little less responsible .In the end the better club wins and Stcaey gets a say in what doctor she sees . Not having read any of the original Baby Sitter's Club books, I read this one because it is in graphic novel form by Raina Telgemeier. This book lent itself very well to the graphic novel form - the plot is not complicated (a rival Baby sitter's club opens) and has a subplot about one of their members who is having trouble dealing with her diabetes. All in all, it reminded me of those bygone 'after school special' TV shows dealing with some teenage or tween problem. Not high literature, and somewhat didactic, but I can see why a middle-schooler might like this.
The girls learn to stand up for themselves in responsible ways, including Stacey taking responsibility for her body and her health in the face of her parents’ overwhelming concern. That’s a terrific message for young women, even though the book is a lot more entertaining than many message-based tracts. Est contenu dansEst une adaptation de
