This book is about a tiny squirrel who wants to explore the forest and the world beyond his home i the tree trunk. One day he decides to leave his cozy home and explore the forest. He meets different animals and spends some time with them before moving on and finding more friends.By the end of the book the squirrel realizes that there is no place like home and so he returns home and appreciated the little family that he has. This book can teach children that they are all different and belong for different homes and backgrounds but they can always make new friends and appreciate the differences. Very warm and loving book. Brown has included animals again. Fur child finds different kinds of animals and observes them. He shows compassion to the other animals especially because when he found one he kissed it gently and put it back down ever so slightly. When he is done exploring he goes home to a harm house with mom and dad and they read him a bed time story. Very loving book children will love it because of the fur family. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

I’m sure I must have read this book at some point in my childhood, but it didn’t make an impression on me. It gives me a melancholy feeling, and I’m not sure that’s what the author intended. The fur child seemed lonely. ( )
