The Title of this book is the also the title of one of my favorite poems in this book! Prelutsky uses silly words and topics to mix in awesome vocabulary and wordplay! These poems are great for reluctant readers or to base fun lessons on! ( ) If you want to increase kids' interest in poetry, this is the perfect collection to share with them. Included are over a 100 of Prelutsky's works that kids will find entertaining, funny, creative, and imaginative! Colorful and fun illustrations by author/illustrator Brandon Dorman add to the book. You'll hear lots of giggles as students enjoy the silliness of these poems. "Imagine if your precious nose were sandwiched in between your toes, that clearly would not be a treat, for you'd be forced to smell your feet." Jack Prelutsky has a wonderful way of writing and using wordplay to make his poetry enjoyable to both parents and children. Meaning of poetry should be how it makes you feel, and his way of writing comments on life in deeper dimensions that are meaningful for children. The author does a wonderful job taking you to a different place with his playfulness and illustrations in this book. I would recommend this book to all ages, as an uplifting way to view life. This is my first time reading Jack Prelutsky, and I really enjoyed his work! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
