Pretty epic.
A murder mystery brings together some of Marvel's greatest heroes including the likes of Iron Man, She Hulk and Thor. The non-stop rampage continues until both Red and Green Hulk collide. Only one can survive this epic battle of Hulk proportion!
This graphic novel was very entertaining. The Artistry is very bold and brightly colored as well a Marvel graphic comic should be. There are many characters from throughout the Marvel Universe. The storyline is well thought out and well executed.
The ending was good but it's as should be expected from a Marvel comic. Happy Disney ending all the way! LOL 😋
I personally love Jeph Loeb comics because they tend to take on a little bit darker of a persona then most not done by him. He also has a way of weaving originality into his stories which is very unique to him since pretty much everything that you can do with superheroes has already been done. I really admire his storytelling.
I would definitely recommend this graphic novel to pretty much everyone. 😊 ( )

Red Hulk collects the first six issues of Hulk, written by Jeph Loeb with art by Ed McGuinness, originally serialized between January and September 2008.

Starting shortly after the events of World War Hulk, this story opens in Russia, where the Abomination has been beaten, apparently by the Hulk, and then shot to death. Iron Man, General Ross, Doc Samson and She-Hulk are investigating, when out of a nearby village that had been leveled in the fracas stumbles a survivor muttering, "Red . . . red. . ." With Bruce Banner still secure, the question of the book is: Who is this Red Hulk?

That should be the question, anyway. The real question is, who will Red Hulk beat up next? After Greg Pak's thoughtful and intelligent Hulk saga, this jarring shift to ever-escalating slugfests is hard to stomach, and it's made worse by the stupidity on display. At the beginning, while our good guys are trying to figure out what happened to the Abomination, they arbitrarily get into a fight with Russia's superhero team. Later, when Red Hulk tears through a bulkhead right behind Iron Man, the hero is somehow too oblivious to notice. A few pages later the book's sparkling dialogue is exemplified by Iron Man's exclamation, upon seeing an expensive piece of hardware go down in flames: "Oh. The. HUMANITY." The book just jumps from fight to fight, with Red Hulk beating up on increasingly powerful opponents, with the occasional randomness thrown in, such as when, in the middle of a fight with perhaps his strongest adversary, Red Hulk leaves to punch out the Watcher. When the battle threatens to break San Francisco into the sea, a random assortment of heroes just shows up, starts to try to hold the place together, and then is forgotten about. (I guess we can assume San Francisco survives, since the X-Men have since taken up residence there.)

Honestly, I have no particular problem with a comic book being an extended fight scene. It's not my favorite sort of story, but it has its place and can occasionally be exciting and entertaining. I do have a problem when the extended fight scene is so arbitrarily and downright stupidly executed as it is here. Characters show up randomly, in random combinations (why do only some of the Avengers show up but not others? Where does all this fit into She-Hulk's story?), and, especially in the case of Tony Stark, act completely out-of-character. Ed McGuinness's artwork is pretty enough, but it's not nearly enough to salvage this poorly-wrought story.

While occasionally mildly amusing, this book is more often than not an unforgivably stupid mess that, while not the worst title Marvel's published lately, is certainly pretty close and should probably be avoided by anyone who enjoys even minimal intelligence in storytelling. ( )
