...you’ll find yourself eagerly turning pages to find out what happens next. The prose is so beautifully worded you might want to read it aloud. This is a tale that could be fit for any age, although the actual words and plot line might be too complex for those under twelve. It is a fun read that I could see growing into a series.

Of Quills and Kings is a debut novel by Joel Reeves that manages to make a hedgehog menacing, but I was always little afraid of them. It is very well written, I can’t say this enough. Read it now, so you can say you were one of the first to read Joel Reeves' debut novel.
