Synopsis: 'A reclusive millionaire, Hugh Dixon, hires Spenser to find the nine members of a terrorist group that bombed a London restaurant where he and his family were dining, resulting in the deaths of his two daughters, his wife and leaving him a paraplegic. Spenser is promised USD$2,500 a head for the apprehension of each of the nine terrorists responsible, dead or alive. Spenser heads to London, England to start his investigation. Running an ad for information in The Times results in two assassination attempts on Spenser. Spenser foils the attempts resulting in the deaths of two gunmen and the capture of another.
Spenser enlists the help of his friend Hawk, a powerful ally. Spenser tracks one of the members of the terrorist group, Liberty, and uses her as a Judas goat to lead him to other members.' From Wikipedia
Review: The interaction between Spencer and Hawk is really good and adds to the story quite a bit. ( )

Found this early Spenser novel in a Half Price Books and spent a few dollars and it was... fun enough. The early ones are quite short and straight-forward. The fun is there, as are Hawk and Susan. The later books have more pages, more mystery, more turns and more elaborate crimes as well as jokes. ( )

El investigador irá dejando por Europa un rastro de cadáveres, pero su vida también tiene un precio, y hay alguien que le está pisando los talones con el único propósito de verle muerto.

Robert B. Parker's private detective character Spenser has another adventure in the 5th book of the series. A client hires Spenser to find the right wing racist terrorists who killed his wife and children in a bombing in London. The search takes Spenser and his friend Hawk from London to Copenhagen to Amsterdam and finally to Montreal in time for the the 1976 Olympic Games. Reading through the Spenser series in order I do think Parker's writing got better with each book. ( )
