This is an oversize book, with the basic structure of a graphic novel but a very simple story, large panels, and few words. It suits Captain Marvel very, very well, the story is sweet and inspiring, and the book showcases Alex Ross's marvelous artwork.
I think my favorite part is still the cover though. It says everything superheroes are about to me: Looking upward. Being better. The power of hope. A simple image, beautifully done. The little picture on the internet doesn't do it justice. ( )
