This is a military and personal memoir of Major General Jim Molan an Australian general who arrived in Iraq in April 2004. Whilst there he was responsible for strategic infrastructure security and was Chief of Operations with the multi-national force. The first 3 chapters of the book detail his early career, culminating in the strategic and important role he played in East Timor. The major part of the book provides detail about and anecdotal reflection on the operational situation in Iraq in 2004/2005.
