A fun, rollicking rhyming story about a girl who gets shoes from her Grandpa, then everyone in her family gives her different items of clothing to go with them. Delightful mixed media illustrations. This is the 30th Anniversary Edition. ( ) Grandpa decides to buy Jessie a pair of shoes, the rest of the family join in with offers of new socks, shirt, blouse, sweater, coat, scarf, hat and mittens. But Jessie just want clothes that suit for her. It has strong rythem,so its easy for children to read.Children of Jessie's age may like Jessie want to wear jeans. This children's book is about a young girl who receives new clothing items from all her family members and becomes very overwhelmed. I find it very funny and know that the kids would too, so that is why I both like it, and why I would include it in my classroom. This book could be read to grades PreK-2nd and could be used in a family themed lesson plan. This is a rather basic children's book, but still does a great job of getting quality information across to the readers. There is a lot of rhyme in the book, as the family members describe the different clothes that they intend to give Jessie that will go along with the shoes that he is getting from grandpa.
This story it a great resource to use during a rhyming lesson. It also is a good book to use when talking about family. Have the students write or draw a picture of their family.
In a cumulative rhyme, family members describe the clothes they intend to give Jessie to go with her shoes from Grandpa. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
